'Batman' super motorbike for sale from 80,000 USD

Batpod, Batman's motorcycle model with 31-inch tires, uses a 750cc Honda engine.

The special car from the big screen will be available at Pop Store's auction from now until September 27. The Batpod will be displayed at the BFI IMAX cinema in London, England. Prices start at $80,000.

Batpod developed from the director's ideaChris Nolan, product designNathan Crowleyand special effects artist on filmChris Corbould. The car is equipped with plastic and fiberglass body panels, a custom frame, long "guns" in the front. Besides, there is a laser target locator on the right handlebar. Oversized Hoosier tires measuring 31 inches.

The Batpod is powered by a 150cc Honda engine. The radiator and hydraulic shock absorbers are mounted under the seat. The braking system is controlled via the left handlebar and right pedal.

The bike being auctioned has no gas tank, throttle, battery, or other flammable or explosive components. Only six were produced for filming purposes. The Batpod appeared in two films: The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
