SLNA lost bitterly to Hanoi right at Vinh stadium

From a chaotic situation in the visitors' penalty area, Vo Ngoc Toan had a decisive shot from close range, defeating Van Cong, reducing the score to 2-1. This was also the final score of the first 45 minutes.

After the break, SLNA regained their spirits and continuously created dangerous situations in front of Hanoi goalkeeper Van Cong's goal. First was a free kick combination from outside the 16m50 box by Khac Ngoc. Then, Van Duc made a smart escape, facing the opposing goalkeeper, but the striker's powerful shot hit the crossbar, to the regret of Nghe An fans in the 56th minute.
