Summary of the space for performing folk songs Vi and Giam at Ho Chi Minh Square, phase I
On the evening of November 30, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Department of Culture and Sports organized a preliminary summary program of phase I, inaugurated the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song performance space phase II, and summarized and awarded the prizes for the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song composition and lyrics writing contest in 2024.
To promote and disseminate the unique and enduring values of folk songs.Nghe Tinh folk songs, as well as meeting the needs of enjoying traditional art and culture of Nghe An people,Nghe An Province Traditional Arts Centerhas coordinated withManagement Board of Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho MonumentBuilding a space for performing folk songs Vi and Giam at Ho Chi Minh Square.

After 3 years of operation (2021-2024), the performance space has organized 42 shows, each night with the participation of about 35-40 artists, 35-40 artisans, 3-5 teachers, and 2-3 folk song clubs. The shows have served a total of more than 20,000 audiences in the first phase. This space has truly become a spiritual food on weekends for the people of Vinh city, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of folk songs of Nghe An.

To recognize, encourage and honor the groups and individuals who have made positive contributions to the success of the performance space, Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 groups and 8 individuals.

Also in the program, the Department of Culture and Sports organized an award ceremony for 3 works that won A prizes, 6 works that won B prizes, and 15 works that won C prizes in the 2024 Nghe Tinh folk song composition and lyrics contest.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture and Sports also launched a movement to spread Vi and Giam folk songs among youth union members of the Department of Culture and Sports, contributing to preserving and promoting the unique traditional cultural values of Nghe Tinh.
