Exciting "Folk song singing in school" contest in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 1, at the central cultural house of Thanh Chuong district, the "Folk song singing in schools" contest took place, attracting the attention of teachers and students in the area.
Previously, the contest was held simultaneously at the grassroots level to select outstanding performances. The district-level “Folk Song Singing in Schools” contest had 12 teams from high schools and clusters of primary and secondary schools in the district participating.

The teams brought to the contest nearly 30 unique folk songs praising the Party, Uncle Ho, Nghe An homeland, family affection, teacher-student relationship... with the main material being Vi and Giam folk songs.
After the exciting competitions, the organizing committee awarded prizes to 6 teams, including the first prize to Dai Dong cluster, the second prize to Thanh Chuong 3 High School, and the third prize to Hoa Quan cluster. The 13 best performances were also awarded separate prizes.

According to the judges, the contest has invested carefully in choosing content, staging the program and practicing carefully.
The “Folk Songs in School” contest is a healthy playground to help students love their hometown songs more, enriching collective activities in schools. Through that, it also discovers talents in folk singing, spreading the folk song movement in schools, contributing to preserving, conserving and promoting the value of the heritage of Vi and Giam folk songs.
