Early naming of unnamed roads in Vinh city
(Baonghean.vn) - Voters in Vinh city have proposed that the authorities promptly name some unnamed streets in the city.
The relevant authorities responded to this issue as follows:
On April 23, 2014, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 2579/UBND.VH on advising on naming and renaming streets in Vinh City, Phase V, in which the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism was assigned to coordinate with Vinh City People's Committee to advise on naming and renaming streets in Vinh City, Phase V, in accordance with the procedures prescribed in Decree No. 91/2005/ND-CP dated July 11, 2005 of the Government on promulgating the Regulation on naming and renaming streets, roads and public works.

At the 2nd session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee submitted to the Provincial People's Council for approval a Resolution on naming and renaming 32 roads and 03 overpasses in Vinh city.
| The list of naming and renaming streets in Vinh city, phase V, includes 32 streets and 3 overpasses. Of which, 25 streets were given new names, including 20 streets named after famous people, 4 streets named after places, 1 street named after a noun; 7 adjusted streets, including 3 extended adjusted streets without new names); 2 adjusted streets were given new names; 2 streets were adjusted to become alleys; 3 overpasses were given new names after places including Cua Nam, Nghi Kim, and Quan Banh overpasses. |
