The power of a true party
(Baonghean) - During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh once taught: A Party that conceals its shortcomings is a corrupt Party...
He also affirmed: A Party that has the courage to admit its shortcomings, clearly point out those shortcomings, clearly examine the circumstances that gave rise to those shortcomings, and then seek every way to correct those shortcomings, is a progressive, bold, steadfast, and genuine Party.
The efforts in Party building and rectification to push back degradation and purify the ranks of our Party in recent times have clearly shown one thing: the Party has recognized serious shortcomings and is making efforts to correct and overcome those shortcomings.

In addition to focusing on building a clean and strong Party in terms of politics, ideology, organization and ethics, our Party focuses on pointing out its shortcomings. These are 27 manifestations of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the ranks. And the main reason is that cadres and Party members themselves lack self-cultivation and training; their ideological stance is unstable, confused, wavering in the face of external influences; they fall into selfish and narrow-minded individualism, are tempted by material interests, and do not fulfill their responsibilities and duties to the Party and the people. The most specific and obvious manifestations and the most serious consequences are corruption, waste, negativity...
Clearly identifying the causes as well as the key points that need to be broken through is to step up the fight against corruption and negativity; strictly handling individuals and organizations that have committed violations, especially party members holding important positions in the Party and State apparatus. Since the 12th National Party Congress, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, inspection agencies, especially the Central Inspection Committee, have been operating at maximum capacity. As a result, tens of thousands of party members nationwide have been disciplined for violating the Party Charter and State laws.
Notably, the Central Inspection Commission held 19 meetings and announced disciplinary actions against many Party members who are high-ranking officials of the Party and State under the management of the Politburo and the Secretariat in various forms. Among them, Politburo members and Central Party Committee members were dismissed from their positions; a number of leaders of central and local departments, ministries and branches, whether retired or in office, who committed violations were strictly handled. Those officials and Party members all violated what Party members are not allowed to do, lacked responsibility, and were lax in leading and managing the State in land, resources, minerals, finance, banking, investment, and basic construction, etc.
It can be said that the Party's anti-corruption work has never been as fierce and achieved such results as it is now. The people of the whole country look at it and completely believe that corruption and negativity will be pushed back. Because, as the leader of our Party said: When the furnace is hot, fresh wood must also burn. Dry wood, medium wood burns first, then the whole furnace heats up, all agencies join in, no one stands outside. And it is impossible to stand outside. No individual can not do it if they want to, that is success.

Success comes from courage. Our Party has courageously revealed its shortcomings, admitted its mistakes, and then strived to correct itself to become increasingly cleaner and stronger, to fulfill its mission to the country and the people. That is the source of the strength of a true Party.
