Syria warns terrorists could attack Paris this summer

According to Syrian authorities, it is very likely that terrorists will use these passports to enter Europe to carry out attacks this summer.

In November 2015, the organizers and perpetrators of the terrorist attacks used at least two of these stolen passports to successfully enter France and then carry out the attacks in Paris.

In addition, many other passports taken from dead Syrians, such as Syrian soldiers or victims of bombings by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) organization, can also be used by terrorists.

In December 2015, France called on the European Union to increase controls and detect cases of using fake Syrian passports to enter Europe.
