Syria recaptures key city south of Damascus
TASS quoted the Regional Information Portal as saying that Syrian government army soldiers have recaptured the key city of Sheikh-Miskin in the south of the capital Damascus, the gateway to the routes leading to the southern provinces of Daraa, Al-Quneitra and As-Suwayda.
The three-day offensive killed 50 rebels and wounded 250 others.

Earlier the same day, the Syrian Air Force carried out airstrikes on the strongholds of groups in the town of Aazaz, bordering Turkey, as well as a base of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization north of Aleppo city.
“The terrorists suffered many casualties and damage to their equipment,” the Syrian army press release said.
