Driver who hit and killed a traffic police officer is being investigated for murder
Tran Van Dung, the driver of the 16-seat passenger van that hit and killed a traffic police officer, has been prosecuted for murder.
On the afternoon of September 16, a representative of Bac Giang Provincial Police said that the sameprosecuteAlong with driver Dung was Duong Duc Tuyen, owner of the 16-seat passenger van. According to the initial investigation, on the afternoon of September 14, Duong Duc Tuyen, 21 years old, from Nha Nam town, Tan Yen (Bac Giang) and driver Tran Van Dung, 31 years old, from Soc Son (Hanoi) were traveling on a 16-seat passenger bus, not carrying passengers. In the rows of seats were 80 boxes of electronic components with a total weight of 2 tons, without documents or invoices to prove their origin.

At around 4:20 p.m., the car traveling from Hanoi to Lang Son on the Hanoi - Bac Giang highway, reaching the section in Noi Hoang commune, Yen Dung district, was asked by the interdisciplinary working group to stop the car for inspection.

During the chase, the task force controlled the car owner, but driver Dung escaped. About two hours later, driver Dung surrendered to the police.
According to many witnesses, when passing under the bridge, the passenger bus was traveling at high speed "estimated at about 70 km/h".
Authorities determined that the 16-seat vehicle that caused the accident was not registered for transportation business, did not have a vehicle tracking device installed, and its registration expired on September 16.
