According to Mr. Tuan, at around 3:05 p.m. on May 6, while driving along Tan Thang Embankment, Son Ky Ward, Tan Phu District, before number 48, Mr. Tuan saw a young man waving for a taxi so he stopped to pick him up. Arriving at District 7, the customer continued to call. Through the phone conversation between the two sides, Mr. Tuan learned that the customer's brother was taking his child to school and was not at home. The customer asked Mr. Tuan to stop the car and wait. By evening, unable to contact his brother, the customer asked Mr. Tuan to drive to Binh Tan and then told him to drive back to the original location to pick up the above customer.

Mr. Tuan did as the guest asked, but when he arrived, the guest changed his mind and wanted to take him to a mini soccer field in Tan Phu. Here, the guest invited Mr. Tuan to drink water and then asked Mr. Tuan to take him to Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7 to ask his brother for money to pay for the fare.
It was already dark, but because the trip took nearly 7 hours and the customer had not paid a single penny, Mr. Tuan reluctantly continued.
At 10:30 p.m., Mr. Tuan drove the passenger near the People's Committee of Tan Thuan Tay Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, when suddenly the passenger from behind jumped up with a weapon and attacked Mr. Tuan with the intention of robbing him.
While driving the car, he struggled with the passenger, causing the car to swerve on the road. Mr. Tuan suffered a cut on his neck and several stab wounds in his chest. After a while of struggling, Mr. Tuan stopped the car and held his wound, opened the door and ran out, screaming for help.
This guest also opened the door and disappeared into a nearby container yard. Mr. Tuan ran a short distance and collapsed to the ground unconscious.
It is known that the subject intended to kill Mr. Tuan to rob his property, however, he did not take anything.
