A student drowned while bathing in the river.

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 4:30 p.m. on August 27, on Lam River, flowing through Chua hamlet, Thanh Khai commune (Thanh Chuong), a tragic drowning incident occurred.

The victim was Nguyen Huu Quang (12 years old), a 6th grade student at Thanh Khai Secondary School. According to locals, this afternoon, Quang and some friends in the village invited each other to take the buffalo to the river to bathe, while his friends were playing, Quang drowned.

At that time, a woman in the village who was also bathing the buffalo discovered the incident and called out to everyone around, but Quang had already been swept away by the water.

People gathered to search for Quang's body.

Upon receiving the news, Quang's relatives and young people in Chua hamlet mobilized many sand and gravel boats on Lam River to participate in the search and rescue, but by 6:30 p.m. the same day, Quang's body had not been found.

It is known that Quang is the eldest child in a family of 4 siblings and is a diligent and good student.
