Temporarily ban all vehicles from circulating on the North-South Expressway section through Nghe An

On the afternoon of August 25, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Thi - Captain of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 4, Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department (Traffic Police Department) said that due to the complicated developments of storm No. 5, the authorities have decided to temporarily ban all vehicles from traveling on the North-South Expressway section passing through Nghe An province from 1:30 p.m. today (August 25) to ensure safety for people and vehicles.

This temporary suspension of traffic is to prevent the risk of traffic accidents due to heavy rain, strong winds, landslides or other force majeure situations that may occur in extreme weather conditions.

The ban lasts until further notice from the authorities.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Thi also requested drivers and transport businesses to strictly follow the regulation and guidance of the traffic police on the route; at the same time, closely monitor the weather situation and update information from official channels to have appropriate travel plans.
