Terrorist attack on bus in Egypt, 51 people injured and killed

This was a targeted attack by terrorists against Christians.

At least 24 people were killed and 27 injured in a terrorist attack on a bus in Minya province, 220km south of Cairo, Egyptian sources said on May 26.

The Egyptian Health Ministry said the death toll could rise. Egyptian security sources said about 10 masked gunmen attacked two buses carrying Christians and a minivan on the way to Samuel's monastery in Minya province. The gunmen stopped the vehicles and attacked.

The attack took place near the Qalmoun Mountains in the western desert of Minya province, where the armed men easily escaped. This was a targeted terrorist attack by terrorists targeting Christians. Egyptian security forces and police have blocked the area leading to the Samuel Monastery and the main roads of Minya province to hunt down the attackers.
