Tan Ky, Hoang Mai support people to evacuate from landslide and sinking houses
(Baonghean.vn) - After a landslide occurred on National Highway 48E, at the border between Nghia Hoan and Tan Long communes, Tan Ky district directed the locality to immediately evacuate people and property of 5 households from the danger zone. At the same time, Hoang Mai town is supporting people to fix their collapsed houses.

After surveying the actual situation at the serious landslide site above,National Highway 48E, the section through Eo Len, bordering the two communes of Tan Long and Nghia Hoan, the leaders of the Department of Transport have not yet proposed a solution to handle the large rocks blocking National Highway 48E, but are waiting for the direction of the General Department of Roads.

To ensure the safety of the people, the Department of Transport has directed the locality to set up barriers, assign forces to be on duty 24/7, and absolutely not allow vehicles to pass through the landslide area. At the same time, agreeing with the proposed plan of Tan Ky district, immediately evacuate people and property of households living near the landslide area.
Mr. Phan Van Giap - Chairman of People's CommitteeTan Ky districtsaid, in the immediate future, the district directed Tan Long commune to urgently evacuate people and property of 5 households in Tan Long hamlet (located in the dangerous area) to a safe place. The authorities of Tan Long and Nghia Hoan communes were assigned to set up barriers on both sides of the landslide site, arrange forces to be on duty 24/7, direct traffic, and guide people to avoid the landslide site safely.

Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hoa, one of the households living near the landslide area, said that at around midnight on September 28, he suddenly heard a loud noise behind his house, followed by many other loud noises. When it was morning, he realized that there was a landslide near his house. Fearing further landslides, his family moved people and property out of the house.
