Tan Ky: Launching a movement to sponsor poor students

(Baonghean.vn)- In order to help poor students exercise their right to education, Tan Ky district leaders have developed and implemented the program 'Give wings to dreams of going to school'.

Huong Son is a poor commune of Tan Ky district. In order to help poor students continue to go to school, at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, Tan Ky district leaders developed and implemented the program "Give wings to dreams to school". When the District People's Committee implemented this program in the commune, comrades in the Standing Committee of Huong Son commune actively responded and participated.

This time, comrade Dang Tho Xuan - Vice Chairman of Tan Ky District People's Committee and leaders of Huong Son commune gave gifts and sponsored 10 students with difficult circumstances and at risk of dropping out of school at Huong Son Primary School, Tan Ky district.

The program "Give wings to dreams of going to school" was initiated by the leaders of Tan Ky District People's Committee to give poor students the opportunity to go to school, helping them have a solid foundation to confidently overcome difficulties and study better.

Each leader has sponsored and helped a poor student for 5 years of study. Support all study expenses from books, clothes, school supplies, and donations. The implementation period is from August 31, 2017 until the students finish 5th grade.

This work has been supported by the majority of local people. Currently, the program is being expanded by schools throughout the district so that poor students can have more joy before the new school year 2017-2018. This is also a meaningful and practical work to effectively implement Directive 05 of the Politburo on promoting "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle".
