Many good models of women members

Among the organizations that receive entrusted loans in Tan Ky, the District Women's Union is evaluated as effectively managing loan capital, with many members who have borrowed capital and overcome difficulties to become rich legitimately.preferential loans. Among them, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue - a member of the Tan Thuan Hamlet Association, Nghia Dung Commune. With 50 million VND in loans from the Tan Ky District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office, Ms. Hue has gradually affirmed her efforts in labor production, family economic development and become a typical example of a good economic woman in Nghia Dung Commune.

The family of Ms. Hue and Mr. Hoa in Tan Thuan hamlet are poor households with difficult circumstances. The couple has done many jobs to earn money to support their lives, but poverty still haunts their family. With their will and determination, the couple has gradually risen to become rich legitimately in their homeland.

Realizing that the local soil and climate conditions were suitable for the growth and development of watermelon, the couple decided to invest in planting 5 sao on alluvial land. However, due to limited knowledge of science, technology and capital, she encountered many difficulties, the products were unstable in price and not yet accepted by the market. In 2018, after being trained by the Commune Women's Union on vegetable, root and fruit growing techniques, Ms. Hue boldly borrowed 50 million VND from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to invest and switch to growing green squash and expand the area to 11 sao.

Since switching to growing green squash, the economic efficiency has been much higher. On average, 1 sao of squash yields more than 3 tons of fruit, sold in the field at a price of 6,000 VND to 7,000 VND/kg, with revenue reaching nearly 20 million VND/sao/crop, after deducting costs, the profit is 15 million VND/sao/crop. The total annual income of Ms. Hue's family from the green squash growing model is over 300 million VND.

Also in the women's union, in addition to Ms. Hue's effective loan model, there is also a snail farming model of Nguyen Thi Kieu's household, a member of the women's union in Dong Nhat hamlet, Tan Phu commune. Previously, Ms. Kieu was a near-poor household. In 2017, the district's Social Policy Bank lent her 50 million VND to invest in building a black apple snail and eel farming model on an area of over 2,000 m2.2. Basically, at the grassroots level, the assessment of loans to the right beneficiaries has been organized; the inspection work has been regularly paid attention to by the Bank and commune-level organizations; the work of urging customers to repay debts, pay interest and mobilize savings through the group has been well done. The members who are the chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and towns have paid attention to directing the good performance of their tasks in implementing the policy credit program, ensuring loans to the right beneficiaries according to regulations, approving the list of poor households and policy borrowers.
