In the content of the Directive on ensuring aviation safety and security during peak periods serving the New Year, Lunar New Year 2016 and the 12th National Party Congress, which has just been issued, the Ministry of Transport requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to strengthen inspection and examination of safety, security and quality of aviation services.

At the same time, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam directed the Airports Authority to maintain a 24/7 duty regime to ensure regular inspection and supervision of the implementation of regulations on aviation safety and security and services at airports, strictly handling violations; Continue to resolutely and synchronously implement the "National Safety Program for Civil Aviation" and the "Runway Safety Program" with comprehensive and comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of aircraft operations.

Vietnam Airports Corporation must develop specific plans, solutions and measures to enhance the ability to serve passengers and aircraft during peak periods; Organize and educate staff in the unit to maintain labor discipline, raise awareness and sense of responsibility in performing tasks; have a civilized and polite attitude when interacting with passengers, demonstrate the spirit of "4 pleases" and "4 always"; strictly maintain the regime of leadership and professional on-duty, strictly prohibit the use of alcohol and beer during the performance of duties, promptly direct and handle arising situations...

Strengthen patrolling and control (through camera systems and by human) in passenger service areas, classify goods and luggage to ensure security against theft of luggage and goods; strengthen supervision of taxi services, require businesses operating transportation services to arrange enough vehicles to serve passengers, and prevent taxi drivers from taking advantage of peak times to unreasonably increase prices.

In addition, Vietnamese airlines must develop plans and options for transporting passengers during the above peak periods, ensuring to meet the highest level of people's travel needs, especially on domestic flights; minimizing flight delays and cancellations that cause congestion at airports, etc.
