Strengthening the potential and position of the Logistics defense area of ​​Military Region 4

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 26, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Resolution 623-NQ/TW dated October 29, 2012 of the Central Military Commission on Military Logistics work in the period 2013 - 2017.

Attending the conference were comrades: Major General Phan Ba ​​Dan - Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics; Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Commander of the Military Region; Lieutenant General Vo Van Viet - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Military Region chaired the conference; also attending were representatives of the Ministry of National Defense; leaders and commanders of agencies and units under the Military Region.

Over the past 5 years of implementing Resolution 623, the Party Committee of Military Region 4 has had many policies and solutions for leadership, direction, and synchronous implementation, successfully completing the goals and targets set out in the Resolution. Notably, the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units have thoroughly grasped the policies, goals, and viewpoints on implementing logistics tasks that the Central Military Commission identified in the Resolution.

Logistics work is implemented synchronously, promoting the spirit of self-reliance, proactively promoting internal resources, combining the exploitation of local logistics strengths, creating a solid source of support. The potential and position of logistics in the defense area in the Military Region are strengthened. The system of logistics support facilities at all levels is invested and upgraded.

The awareness, responsibility, and service attitude of the logistics staff have been raised; the soldiers' material and spiritual life have been enhanced, contributing to enhancing the overall strength and combat readiness of the Military Region's armed forces, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

The conference determined that in the coming time, it will continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement Resolution 623 of the Central Military Commission on logistics work until 2020 and the following years in conjunction with the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2015-2020 term.

Focus on improving the political capacity and professional qualifications of the logistics force and the unity and regularity to create a combined strength in the whole industry; build the potential and position of the logistics defense area to be increasingly strong, ensure all aspects of logistics for the armed forces of the Military Region, and meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
