(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 27, the Provincial Election Propaganda Subcommittee held a working session with departments and offices on strengthening propaganda for the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 term. Comrade Ho Quang Thanh - Director of the Department of Information and Communications, Head of the Election Propaganda Subcommittee chaired.

In the past time, the Provincial Election Propaganda Subcommittee has directed newspapers and radio stations to effectively propagate the implementation of election work at all levels; oriented election propaganda work for press agencies in monthly press conferences; reviewed the content of election propaganda and CDs; directed the fight against distorted information about the election consultation process.

By April 20, the Provincial Electronic Information Portal had posted 23 election documents, 167 news articles, collected and updated 124 Constitutional Q&A, 171 election questions, posted some questions from citizens to authorities about the election, etc. Nghe An Newspaper had posted 46 news, 16 articles on print and electronic newspapers, 18 Q&A columns. The Provincial Radio and Television Station had produced 2 election specials, 47 reports, 83 news articles on radio and television news, and broadcast 2 Q&A columns about the election.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and proposed many practical ideas to serve the propaganda of the election work in the coming time such as: need to grasp and propagate to subjects in remote areas; Propaganda Subcommittee and Election Security Subcommittee need to coordinate more closely with each other to ensure the propaganda of the election; need to have solutions for propaganda of the election on the grassroots radio system; funding issues for propaganda;...

However, there are still difficulties and shortcomings that need to be overcome, for example, grassroots radio stations still lack equipment; the work of compiling documents has not met the requirements.

He also emphasized important contents for strong propaganda; proposed some issues that need to be adjusted such as funding, renovation and upgrading of grassroots broadcasting systems, etc. to best serve the election work in the coming time.
