Giving gifts to families with meritorious services and workers on July 27
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, on the morning of July 23, agencies, departments and branches sent delegations to visit and present gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids and families of policy beneficiaries.
Nghe An Border Guard:
Morning of July 23,Colonel Tran Hai Binh - Provincial Party Committee member, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard presented 20 million VND to the family of Mr. Tran Nhu Cau, born in 1952 in Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district, who helped Border Guard Station 92 (now Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard) carry out border guard duties and fight back against American aircraft during the period 1957 - 1972.

The leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command also visited and presented gifts to the heroic Vietnamese mother Pham Thi Thanh, 88 years old, in Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town, one of three heroic Vietnamese mothers that the Nghe An Border Guard Command has accepted to take care of for the rest of her life. The leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command also visited and presented gifts to the family of seriously wounded soldier Vo Trong Diem, in Mau Don hamlet, Hung Loc commune, Vinh city.
On behalf of the officers and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard, Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the mothers and seriously wounded soldiers, hoping that the mothers and seriously wounded soldiers would take care of their health and live happily with their children and grandchildren. Continue to be a shining example for future generations to learn and follow.
On this occasion, leaders of the Nghe An Border Guard Command also visited and presented gifts to soldiers being treated at Military Hospital 4.

The Association coordinated with Nghia Dan district to give 50 million VND to support the construction of gratitude houses and savings books for families of martyrs.On this occasion, the Delegation presented 50 million VND to support the construction of a house of gratitude for Ms. Le Thi Chi (born in 1927), mother of martyr Hoang Xuan Huan in hamlet 7B, Nghia Mai commune, Nghia Dan district.

Mrs. Chi has 9 children, martyr Huan is the eldest son. She is blind in both eyes. Currently, Mrs. Chi lives with her 6th son, her children's circumstances are difficult.
The delegation also presented 2 savings books, each worth 5 million VND, to Ms. Nguyen Thi Long (born in 1956), wife of martyr Tran Van Nhu in Tan Mai block and Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Sau (born in 1925), mother of 2 martyrs: Nguyen Xuan Kinh and Nguyen Van Binh, in hamlet 2A, Nghia An commune, Nghia Dan district. This amount was sponsored by Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company.

On the morning of July 23, the Viet Duc Children's Cultural House organized a fundraiser to support and give gifts to show gratitude to war invalids and families with meritorious services in the city.
Officials, civil servants and more than 1,000 youths studying and living at the Viet Duc Children's Cultural House participated in the support program with a donation of nearly 30 million VND.
From this money, the cultural house gave 40 gifts to war invalids, families with meritorious services, and students who are children of war invalids in Doi Cung, Le Mao, Cua Nam, and Hung Chinh wards. Each gift included cash and items worth over 500,000 VND.

Towards the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, on July 23, Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Thang - Commander of Tan Ky District Military Command and representatives of several district-level departments visited and presented gifts from Tan Ky District People's Committee to the family of Mr. Phan Xuan Hung - 3/4 war invalid, in Hamlet 2, Huong Son Commune.
Next, he visited and presented gifts to the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ba in Hung Thinh hamlet, Phu Son commune, mother of martyr Nguyen Van Tu, who died in 1978 on the southern battlefield. Each gift was worth 1 million VND.

On this occasion, the District Military Command also presented 3 gifts to 3 heroic Vietnamese mothers and 20 gifts to relatives of war invalids and martyrs in the district with a total value of 6.2 million VND. Visiting and presenting gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, the comrade kindly asked about their health and life and expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions of families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions to the cause of national reunification.
On this occasion, leaders of Tan Ky district directly visited and presented 22 gifts with a total value of 22 million VND to families of people with revolutionary contributions and facing especially difficult circumstances in the area./.
