Giving gifts to relatives and families of heroes and martyrs of Dien Bien Phu and Truong Son soldiers
(Baonghean.vn) - The activity aims to honor the fighting and sacrifices of generations of cadres and soldiers from Nghe An who made many contributions to the Dien Bien Phu Victory and on the Ho Chi Minh trail.
Towards the 65th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2019) and the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the traditional day of Truong Son Troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2019), on the morning of May 4, a working delegation of the Provincial Military Command visited, encouraged and presented gifts to the families of Heroes and Martyrs of Dien Bien Phu and the wounded soldiers and policy families whose relatives directly participated in the fighting and died on the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Yen Thanh district.

The delegation of the Provincial Military Command visited and presented gifts to the family of People's Armed Forces Hero Phan Tu in Tho Thanh commune and the family of Martyr Tran Can in Son Thanh commune (each gift worth 3 million VND). These are two People's Armed Forces Heroes from Yen Thanh hometown who achieved many outstanding feats in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in 1954.
The delegation visited and presented gifts (each gift worth 1 million VND) to 5 families whose relatives died fighting on the Ho Chi Minh trail in Dai Thanh and Bao Thanh communes.
On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command also organized working delegations to visit and present gifts to Heroes, relatives of Heroes, Martyrs of Dien Bien Phu soldiers and officers and soldiers who participated in the fighting and sacrificed on the Ho Chi Minh trail in the districts of Tan Ky, Do Luong, Nghi Loc, Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Vinh city.
