Giving gifts and bus tickets to more than 1,600 female workers to return home for Tet

On January 19, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union announced that it will organize a program to bring more than 1,600 young female workers back to their hometowns to celebrate the 2016 Lunar New Year.

The program's launch ceremony will be held in Hanoi on February 4 (December 26) and will be followed by a series of activities to give tickets and gifts to more than 1,600 young female workers with difficult economic conditions working in industrial parks, export processing zones, and companies in 4 provinces and cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Hung Yen to return to their hometowns in 11 provinces and cities nationwide.

The number of bus tickets to go home for Tet will be allocated by the Organizing Committee in Hanoi city with 450 tickets, Hung Yen province with 360 tickets, Ho Chi Minh City with 405 tickets and Binh Duong province with 405 tickets.

For young female workers working in Hanoi city and Hung Yen province, the Organizing Committee will arrange buses to take them to Thanh Hoa province (180 tickets), Nghe An (270 tickets) and Ha Tinh (360 tickets).

In Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province, the Organizing Committee will arrange buses to take young female workers to Dong Thap (90 tickets), Kien Giang (90 tickets), Soc Trang (90 tickets), Ca Mau (90 tickets), Phu Yen (90 tickets), Binh Dinh (90 tickets), Quang Ngai (90 tickets), Quang Nam (180 tickets).

The Vietnam Youth Unions of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Hung Yen provinces will make a list, issue tickets, gifts and notify the pick-up location for registered female workers.

The Vietnam Youth Union of provinces and cities will also organize youth volunteer teams to welcome female workers at 11 destinations to guide them back to their hometowns in the most convenient way.

According to the Organizing Committee, the program aims to demonstrate the concern and care of the Youth Union and Association for young workers, specifically young female workers working in industrial parks, export processing zones... contributing practically to helping female workers return home to reunite with their families and reduce the economic burden when Tet comes and Spring comes.

In addition, the program also promotes and calls on organizations and units to join hands and show the concern and support of the whole society for young workers to make Tet more warm and joyful.

The program is a practical activity in response to the Winter Volunteer Program 2015, Spring Volunteer Program 2016 and the I Love My Fatherland movement of the Vietnam Youth Union./.
