Tragic death of mother and child while traveling in Da Nang
(Baonghean.vn) - A trip for a couple with their child turned into a great tragedy when the wife and son died, and the husband is still in critical condition, suspected of food poisoning.
The family of Mr. Dang Van Nha (born in 1964) in Hamlet 7, Dien Hoa Commune, Dien Chau District (Nghe An), sadly received the bodies of his daughter-in-law Vo Thi Ngoc Mai (born in 1990) and grandson Dang Van Bach (born in 2014) who died on September 16, suspected of being poisoned during a trip to Da Nang.
At 9:00 a.m. on September 17, Mai and her children were brought back to their hometown for burial according to local customs.
The son, Dang Ngoc Van (born in 1989), is currently being treated at Da Nang General Hospital and is also suspected of food poisoning during the trip.

Relatives and neighbors of the victims were shocked. No one expected that a happy outing for a young family would turn into a day of separation and death for their loved ones.
Mr. Van is the eldest of two children. His parents are both farmers, so their life is only average. Originally working in construction, Mr. Van's job is here and there. Then he met Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc Mai (born in 1990, from Quang Tri province) through a meeting through work. The two got married 5 years ago.
With a dazed face after a huge mental shock, Mr. Dang Van Nha, Mr. Van's father, was sometimes conscious, sometimes talking about other things: "Just the other night (September 16), Bach (born in 2014, the eldest child of Mr. Van and Ms. Mai - PV) called his grandparents and bragged that he had a lot of fun outing, and that tomorrow he would come back to buy gifts for his grandparents and younger sister, but...".
According to information from the family, on the afternoon of September 14, Ms. Mai and her nephew Bach took a car to Vinh to prepare for a trip to Da Nang City with Mr. Van. They were accompanied by some colleagues from the company in Vinh where Mr. Van was working.
On the afternoon of September 15, the company and Mr. Van's family went to Hoi An ancient town, ate there, and then returned to Da Nang to check in to their hotel. However, no one knows whether Mr. Van's family visited relatives, ate or stayed there afterwards.
Mai's brother said: "At around 6:50 a.m. on September 16, I received a phone call from Van, informing me that the whole family felt tired and had symptoms of food poisoning. During that time, my sister's family's condition deteriorated very quickly, so no one had time to react."
Afterwards, everyone took the victims to Danang Hospital for emergency treatment, however, Bach was confirmed dead before that, Mai showed signs of fatigue, cyanosis, shock, low blood pressure and died after 2 hours of treatment. Van was immediately transferred to Danang General Hospital.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - Van's aunt-in-law, said with red eyes: "The family called to say that Van's health has improved but is still not stable. Now Van's younger brother and siblings are there to be on duty. Some have to stay home to take care of the funeral for Mai and her mother. Currently, the cost of dialysis and daily treatment for Van is more than 80 million VND. In the past few days, it has been more than 500 million VND. The family in the hometown is extremely difficult. I only feel sorry for the second child Bao Chau (born in 2016) who is still so young."
Mr. Van's family situation is difficult, we hope for everyone's attention and sharing, so that Mr. Van can have the conditions to treat and regain his life, so that Bao Chau will not be orphaned by both mother and father at a young age.
