TH Group surveys medicinal plant cultivation combined with tourism development in Con Cuong
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 23, TH Group had a working session with Con Cuong district to survey and implement the project "Growing and processing medicinal herbs under the forest canopy combined with tourism at Khe Kem waterfall".

Con Cuong is a district with great potential for medicinal plants as well as land for growing medicinal plants. According to research on forest plants in Pu Mat National Park, of the 2,949 species identified, there are up to 1,120 species with medicinal value, the medicinal area accounts for 0.29% compared to the whole country but the number of species used as medicinal plants accounts for 19.1% of the total species in the country, including 41 rare medicinal species such as: Golden flower tea, laurel leaf god, bamboo grass...Regarding land fund, according to statistics, Con Cuong district has 5,897.6 hectares of land of all kinds planned for growing medicinal herbs.

At the meeting, TH Group and representatives of departments, offices and localities discussed issues such as: Creating favorable conditions for land funds, supporting investment attraction policies and mechanisms so that TH Group can soon implement projects in the locality... The purpose of the project is to plant and preserve rare medicinal herbs under the forest canopy; apply high technology to production and processing to create a chain of commodity values that contribute to increasing income for people, but still ensure forest structure, not destroying the landscape and forest resources.

Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of Con Cuong district affirmed that they will create the most favorable conditions for the Group to invest on the basis of the Investment Law and the planning of the province. Regarding the land fund for the project, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district directed the relevant forest owners including Pu Mat National Park, Con Cuong Forestry One Member Co., Ltd. to coordinate with relevant departments to review the specific area of forest and agricultural land available to arrange suitable land fund for the Group to lease according to demand, and at the same time requested the relevant departments and offices of the district to coordinate with TH Group to unify the plan, complete the necessary procedures and conditions for the enterprise to be able to implement the project./.
