Training on environmental protection in tourism

(Baonghean.vn)-During 3 days (December 14-16, 2015) in Thanh Hoa City, the General Department of Tourism, the Institute for Tourism Development Research (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa to organize a training course on environmental protection in the tourism sector.

The training course was attended by more than 70 trainees from 4 provinces: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Tri and Hue. The Nghe An delegation participating in the training course had 18 trainees from specialized departments and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An.

Overview of the training session

During the training, the trainees listened to the contents on environmental protection in the tourism sector, specifically: General views on environmental protection in the master plan for Vietnam's tourism development to 2020, vision to 2030; Local experience in environmental protection at coastal tourist areas, relics, festivals, etc.; Issues arising in environmental protection management and tourism development in Vietnam and the North Central region; Instructions on inspection activities, handling of penalties on issues related to environmental protection; The role and responsibility of localities, businesses and communities in environmental protection, etc.
