Focus on controlling and suppressing 3 Covid-19 outbreaks in Tan Ky district

At this time, Tan Ky district has 03 Covid-19 outbreaks of unknown origin, including: At Tan Ky Medical Center, 01 F0 appeared, patient VTT (born in 1983, Thuan Yen hamlet, Nghia Hoan commune). After the case appeared, Tan Ky district conducted an investigation and tracing. The result was 13 F1 in the Medical Center. Then, samples were taken to test the patient's family members and the father, mother and wife were found to be infected with SARS-CoV-2.

The second outbreak at Nghia Dong Secondary School. Through testing, there were 32 students, 02 teachers and 03 parents suspected; so far, 02 F0 cases have been detected. The third outbreak at Le Loi High School with 03 students and 01 parent suspected, of which 01 case was infected with SARS-CoV-2.

At the urgent meeting, delegates focused on analyzing, evaluating and commenting on these three outbreaks.

Concluding the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of HealthNghe Anstated: The Covid-19 epidemic situation in Tan Ky district is becoming very complicated; especially in Nghia Dong and Nghia Hoan communes, the epidemic has entered schools.

Regarding the assessment of the epidemic level, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh stated: Nghia Dong commune is level 4; Nghia Thai and Nghia Hoan communes are level 3; Giai Xuan and Tan Phu communes are level 2 and the entire Tan Ky district is level 2. Tan Ky district temporarily suspends centralized teaching at Le Loi High School and Nghia Dong Secondary School; conducts medical isolation in Thuan Yen hamlet (Nghia Hoan) for 14 days, "no one goes out, no one comes in" and takes samples for testing according to regulations.

In the long term, Tan Ky district needs to continue to effectively implement the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic according to the "4 on-site" motto; invest resources, proactively provide medical supplies to effectively fight the epidemic; promote the effectiveness of the Community Covid Team; take care of people's social security; strengthen inspection and supervision work; promote propaganda work, raise awareness and consciousness of people in participating in disease prevention./.
