Nghe An fishing boat engine broken at sea, 7 fishermen request urgent rescue
(Baonghean.vn) - While fishing at sea, a fishing boat of fishermen from Hoang Mai town (Nghe An) had an engine failure, and 7 crew members were in distress and needed urgent rescue.
At 4:00 a.m. on September 21, fishing boat NA 99978TS, operated by Mr. Nguyen Van Tai, residing in Hong Thai block, Quynh Phuong ward (Hoang Mai town) requested emergency rescue.
The boat had 7 workers fishing about 81 nautical miles northeast of Mui Rong Nghe An when the engine broke down. One crew member on board was sick and had difficulty breathing. Although the captain tried every way to fix it, he could not fix it.

At 5:50 p.m. on September 24, the Nghe An Border Guard Command received information from the Coastal Information Station about a fishing boat in distress that needed urgent rescue. Immediately after receiving the information, the Nghe An Border Guard Command mobilized officers, soldiers, medical staff, medicine, and ships of Squadron 2 to go on the rescue mission.
At 3:00 a.m. on September 25, the border guard ship approached the distressed ship, performed rescue work, examined the crew's health, and towed the fishing boat to shore.
It is expected that at about 2:00 p.m. on September 25, the rescue ship will tow the distressed fishing boat to Cua Hoi Port.
