Anti-tank missile with 'fire and forget' capability
According to the Commander of the Russian Missile Forces and Artillery, Major General Mikhail Matveyevsky, the country is developing a new generation self-propelled anti-tank missile system.
“Plans to develop a self-propelled missile system with ‘fire and forget’ capabilities are underway in the Russian military,” Major General Matveyevsky told RIA Novosti news agency.
A “fire and forget” missile system is a very effective weapon because the user only needs to aim and fire without having to adjust the trajectory during flight. This allows the gunner to focus on shooting at a new target or retreating to another position.
