Chelsea defender will receive a huge salary when he is about to play for a team in the Chinese league next season.

The Independent reported that John Terry has agreed to join a club in the Chinese Super League. Terry's contract with Chelsea expires in June, so the Chinese club will not have to pay a transfer fee. The club will only pay him a salary of around $300,000 a week, a dream figure for a 35-year-old defender.

Terry visited Shanghai last year on a personal promotion trip. It is possible that Terry could reunite with former England coach Sven Goran Eriksson at Shanghai SIPG. Or he could meet his old teammate Demba Ba at Shanghai Shenhua.

Some other rich Chinese teams Terry could join are Jiangsu Suzhou, where Ramires is based, or Guangzhou Evergrande of former Chelsea coach Filipe Scolari.

Terry played his final game for Chelsea last week against Sunderland. The 35-year-old midfielder had an unfortunate end with a red card and saw Chelsea lose 3-2. "Although Terry ended in an unwelcome way, we will never forget his contribution," said midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Terry played 700 matches for "The Blues", winning all prestigious titles from Champions League, Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup.
