The incident caused Lieutenant Nguyen Dinh Tai (PCTP scout of the Nam Can Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard), to be hit once in the abdomen. And another bullet also hit Major Nguyen Manh Hung (Scout of the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Border Guard Command) in the shoulder.
Despite being injured, the detectives were able to subdue and control Xênh. Searching Xênh, the detectives seized 20 heroin cakes, 7 kg of crystal meth, 12,000 meth pills, 1 gun, 15 bullets, 1 bullet casing and 1 cell phone.
