More than 1,000 officers and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard are ready to help people cope with storm No. 10.

To proactively respond to storm No. 10, the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province maintains a standby force of more than 1,000 officers and soldiers along with 3 ships, 12 boats, and 30 cars of various types ready to carry out tasks, helping people respond to storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

Since September 27, coastal units under the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command have coordinated with local authorities and forces to notify, call on, and guide 2,895 vehicles (100%) to avoid dangerous areas and enter safe anchorages and shelters.

In addition, the units also actively propagate and mobilize aquaculture cage owners to take measures to ensure safety and minimize damage. Develop plans and support the relocation of households in areas at risk of landslides and flooding, to ensure absolute safety for people's lives and minimize property damage when storms make landfall.

Located in the area with the most offshore fishing vessels in the province, Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station has quickly deployed forces and means to call on and support fishermen to bring their boats to safe shelters. The unit also deployed working groups to the area, coordinated with local Party committees and authorities of wards in the area to inspect vulnerable points, and is ready to support and help people when there is a situation.

Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station mobilized 26 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities and forces to build sandbags to block seawater in Cong Hoa and Dai Bac villages, Quynh Phu commune with a volume of 3 trucks of sand, about 100 m of sand, 2-3 layers of sand with a total of 60 participants. Officers and soldiers of the unit also helped single-parent households, the elderly, and women move, tie up their properties, and build sandbags to block water from overflowing and flooding their houses. At the same time, they coordinated propaganda, supported, and helped 15 households in Dai Bac village tie up their properties and move people to safety.

At Dien Thanh Border Guard Station, facing the risk of high tides and rising sea levels, the unit organized 2 working groups with 12 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to propagate and help fishermen move their boats to anchorage areas, take shelter safely to avoid storm No. 10. Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station deployed forces and means to call on and support fishermen to bring their boats to safe shelters. As of 7:00 a.m. on September 28, all vehicles had entered the anchorage and storm shelter; and were tied up and reinforced to ensure safety.

At the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo Port - Ben Thuy, the unit focused on propagating measures to ensure safety and minimize property damage to households raising cages. In particular, it coordinated with local forces and authorities to urgently move people in low-lying areas with dangerous landslide risks to safe locations.

As the forecast time approached, from early morning on September 28, Border Guard Stations on sea and mountain routes urgently and resolutely implemented response measures before the storm made landfall.

In My Ly and Bac Ly communes, My Ly Border Guard Station has also deployed a plan to prevent storm No. 10. Lieutenant Colonel Phan Duc Tam - Political Commissar, said that the unit has established a permanent rescue squad at the unit consisting of 10 comrades, commanded by the Deputy Station Chief, ready to mobilize to carry out tasks when ordered. Deploy forces to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to be on duty to prevent storms in 2 border communes of Bac Ly and My Ly, each commune has 5 people. Coordinate with Party committees and authorities of communes to review and assess the actual situation in the area, advise on inspection, survey, and identify key areas where landslides, flash floods, and isolation may occur to have measures to reinforce, overcome, and promptly evacuate people according to plan.

My Ly Border Guard Station also established 2 inspection teams, ready to coordinate with departments, branches and communes to inspect areas in the area. Arranged 10 personal motorbikes of unit officers, 01 wooden boat to be on standby to transport mobile squad forces to carry out tasks.
