Thanh Chuong supports families in difficulty

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 12, representatives of the District Party Committee, People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district and a number of philanthropists came to give gifts to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Binh - a family with especially difficult circumstances in Ha Long hamlet, Thanh Ha commune.

Mr. Binh is a river dweller, his wife passed away a long time ago, his family has no land, fields or garden, only a temporary hut built on the bank of Lam River. Every day he goes fishing, gleaning corn and rice to feed 4 people. His sick sister and 2 small children are Nguyen Dinh Duc (13 years old) in class 7C and Nguyen Thi Thuy (11 years old) in class 5A at Thanh Ha Secondary and Primary School. Mr. Binh's family life is currently very difficult.

At Mr. Binh's house, the delegation presented 6 million VND in support to the family.

Visiting and encouraging, the delegation presented 6 million VND in donations from organizations and individuals in the district to share difficulties with Mr. Binh's family.

Responding to the district leaders' call to help Mr. Binh's family, some kind-hearted people also transferred 4 million VND into the family's account.

Thanh Chuong District People's Committee also plans to call for community support in building a house for Mr. Binh and his son.
