Youth is holding the future of the country

During the resistance wars and today, youth union members are always the core force, leading in economic and social development movements.

Young people currently make up the majority of the country's population, and this is the force that helps Vietnam to be in the "golden population" period. This shows that, more than ever, young people play an important role in the construction and protection of the Fatherland in the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration.

Today's young Vietnamese generation actively contributes to the country's development.

The history of building and defending the country, especially the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, shows that the youth always play an important role, always showing the spirit of self-sacrifice for the Fatherland. When mentioning Vietnamese youth, we are mentioning typical examples of young heroes such as: Ly Tu Trong, Be Van Dan, Phan Dinh Giot, To Vinh Dien, Nguyen Viet Xuan, Nguyen Van Troi, Dang Thuy Tram...

In the current period of industrialization, modernization, construction and protection of the Fatherland, the Youth continues to be the core force, leading in the movements of economic and social development, building the country; excellently completing many tasks assigned by the country and the people. Vietnamese Youth has affirmed its position among generations of youth in the region and in the world. The evidence is that many Vietnamese youth are successful in the fields of science, economics, culture, education, skills...

In recent years, many youth and student volunteer teams have not been afraid of difficulties and hardships to go to the people in the highlands, remote areas, and revolutionary base areas to carry out practical activities to help people such as teaching, rebuilding houses, and providing medical care for people... Many young intellectuals in the socio-economic fields have gone to difficult and arduous places, holding hands and showing them how to do things, helping farmers and people develop the economy, escape poverty, and enrich their homeland and country.

Today’s youth have benefited from the achievements of innovation and national development. They have many opportunities to study, develop, and interact with international friends. That is also the reason why we hope that the country can respond to the 4.0 scientific and technological revolution, which poses many significant challenges for many countries in the world.

However, at the same time, there is still a part of today's youth who are indifferent to current events, selfishly living, worrying about enjoyment, fading ideals, being negatively influenced by reactionary websites and social networking sites, falling into social evils... That is the current reality that every youth needs to be clearly aware of in order to act responsibly towards themselves, their families and society.

Like the world's youth, Vietnamese youth are facing many opportunities and challenges, so they need to proactively equip themselves with the necessary awareness, knowledge and skills to directly contribute to the country's development and international integration.

During his lifetime, Uncle Ho once said: "Youth is the future master of the country, the country's prosperity or decline, weakness or strength depends largely on the youth". The youth is the force that holds the future of the country, is the main labor force, and plays a huge role in the development of the country. In other words, the future of the country lies in the hands of the youth. For the youth to truly master the destiny of the nation, the members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union must be the vanguard force, promoting creativity, responsibility, talent, and youthfulness of the youth and always accompany the youth.

The 11th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is an important political event for Vietnamese youth, marking a new step in the development of the Youth Union and the youth movement.
