Vinh City rotates over 200 teachers for the first time.
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Vinh City has just decided to transfer 237 teachers, including 78 kindergarten teachers, 80 primary school teachers, and 79 secondary school teachers.
Vinh City fines and reassigns two teachers for illegal tutoring.
This is the first time Vinh City has rotated a large number of teachers across all three levels: preschool, primary, and secondary.
Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Hoai An, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: The teacher rotation aims to reorganize the teaching staff in the city, creating opportunities for teachers who have worked for many years in disadvantaged areas to move to central areas. At the same time, it aims to reduce teacher complacency and self-satisfaction; creating motivation to strive for improvement in the quality of teachers and staff, thereby enhancing the quality of education.

Previously, the Vinh City People's Committee also issued Decision No. 06 on Regulations for the deployment and rotation of teachers and staff in the education sector. Accordingly, Vinh City is divided into two zones: Zone 1, comprising economically disadvantaged areas, includes schools in the communes of Nghi Lien, Nghi Duc, Nghi Kim, Hung Hoa, Hung Dong, Nghi Phu, Hung Chinh, and Hung Loc; and Zone 2, comprising the remaining wards, includes more favorable areas.
The city also stipulates that all teachers and staff in the education sector are obligated to work in disadvantaged areas for a minimum of three years. After completing this period, they will be transferred to Zone 2 areas.
The transfer from Region 2 to Region 1 is carried out in the following order: those who have not served in Region 1, and those who have completed their service in Region 1 and are now working in Region 2, ranked from longest to shortest service time.
In the case of regional transfers, the applicant must have worked at the unit for 7 years or more; their work performance must be ranked from lowest to highest.
Reportedly, with this regulation, many schools in the city have chosen to select candidates based on years of service, primarily those with over 15 years of experience.
The rotation of teachers, implemented at the beginning of the new school year, has created difficulties for many teachers and schools in planning for the academic year. Furthermore, many teachers believe that the rotation process has many shortcomings, especially regarding older teachers with many years of service in education.
