(Baonghean.vn) - In 2015, the average income per capita of Vinh city is estimated at 76 million VND, the total budget revenue under the city's management is over 1,500 billion VND.

On the morning of December 14, the Vinh City Party Executive Committee held a conference to review Party building work in 2015 and deploy tasks for 2016.

In 2015, all economic - social, national defense - security and Party building targets of Vinh City were achieved and exceeded the plan. Notably, the city's economy grew by 8.6%, the estimated production value was nearly 33,800 billion VND; total social investment capital reached nearly 12,000 billion VND. The economic structure shifted towards industry - construction and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture.

Average income per capita is estimated at 76 million VND, total budget revenue in the city's management area is over 1,500 billion VND. During the year, Vinh City also had 4 communes meeting new rural standards, thereby striving to achieve the title of new rural district level this year.

Regarding the Party building work, the Party's leadership role continued to be affirmed. During the year, the Vinh City Party Committee had 49 Party organizations achieving the title of Strong Party Cell, 40 Party organizations achieving the title of HTNV and 10 Party organizations achieving the title of HTNV. In particular, the grassroots and city Party Congresses were successful, the apparatus was completed in a timely and quality manner.

In 2016, Vinh City Party Committee set a target of increasing production value by 9-10%, budget revenue reaching over 1,800 billion VND, and creating jobs for 4,500 people. The City Party Committee maintained the title of Strong Party Committee; 50% of Party cells achieved the title of Strong Party Cell, admitted over 400 Party members; the Government, Fatherland Front and organizations achieved Strong and Excellent.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the results that the Vinh City Party Committee achieved in 2015. Regarding the tasks in 2016, comrade Le Ngoc Hoa emphasized: Vinh City needs to demonstrate its role and responsibility as the center of the province in all fields; must focus on directing and operating to achieve breakthrough growth in 2016.

In particular, on the basis of the general planning approved by the Government, the city needs to urgently develop detailed planning for subdivisions; invest in infrastructure construction, especially transportation and IT services, electricity and water. In addition, Vinh City needs to step up the construction of an attractive investment environment, promote its image, and boost tourism development. At the same time, organize a good Tet for the poor and safe and joyful Tet Binh Than activities.

Concluding the conference, comrade Vo Viet Thanh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, pointed out: 2016 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the City Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term. Therefore, the city must be determined to successfully complete the goals to create a premise for the term.

With that spirit, the city must focus on building programs and projects to implement the goals; continue administrative reform, well implement the grassroots democracy regulations, promote the strength of the entire political system. The staff must be close to the people, promptly grasp emerging issues and resolve them right from the grassroots. Regarding the immediate task, Vinh City focuses on urban beautification, well organize the celebration of the Binh Than New Year 2016.

On this occasion, the Vinh City Party Committee Standing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 Party cells under the ward and commune Party Committees that achieved the title of Excellent Party Cell and 60 Party members who met the criteria of Outstanding Labor Union for 5 consecutive years; and 14 Party Cells that achieved the title of Outstanding Labor Union in 2015.
