Vinh City has no valedictorians entering 10th grade

(Baonghean.vn) - More than 31,000 candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam. Hundreds of candidates in the province scored 10 points in three subjects: Literature, Math, and English. However, not a single student from Vinh city was in the top valedictorian.

According to the Department of Education and Training, after the end of the grading and re-examination of the exam papers, there were 367 exams with a score of 10. Of which, there were 11 scores of 10 in Math, 355 scores of 10 in English and 1 score of 10 in Literature. The "owner" of the only score of 10 in Literature was student Nguyen Thi Trang - Bach Lieu Secondary School (Yen Thanh).

The Department of Education and Training has also compiled a list of the 5 "valedictorians" and "salutatorians" with the highest exam scores. Among them, 2 candidates scored 47.50 points (Literature and Math with coefficient 2): To Thi Thu Ha - Student of Ho Xuan Huong Secondary School (Quynh Luu) with Literature 9.25, Foreign Language 10 and Math 9.50; Nguyen Phan Thuy Tien - Bach Lieu Secondary School (Yen Thanh) with Literature 8.75, Foreign Language 10 and Math 10.

Grade 9 students of Ho Xuan Huong Secondary School took 2/6 top positions in the Grade 10 Entrance Exam.

The next four positions belong to the students: Dinh Thi Cam Tu - Quy Chau Secondary School (46.50 points), Nguyen Thi Thu Giang (46.50), Nguyen Van Manh (46.25) - Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School (Do Luong) and Ho Thi Tuyen (Ho Xuan Huong Secondary School) with 46.25 points.

Thus, in this year’s 10th grade entrance exam, the top positions are still held by students from key schools in the district. However, not a single student from Vinh City made it onto this list.
