Thanh Son said he was very confident in his ability to learn dialogue until this movie “Brain Battle”. It was a real challenge because the technical terms are rarely used in everyday life. Therefore, to remember those words in your head, to be able to use them and to speak naturally and comfortably was quite difficult. After a while of getting used to it, the awkwardness was gone and sometimes Thanh Son could even edit his own dialogue instead of depending on the script.

Sharing in the program, Thanh Son said that the most impressive scene for him was the scene of retrieving a box of phones from the stream. Initially, Thanh Son thought that playing the role of an economic police officer would only involve sitting at a desk or in meetings. However, in reality, there was a scene where Thanh Son had to roll around in the middle of the stream to find evidence. The stream only reached his knees, but the actor had to act as if it was up to his neck. “For the first time, Son had to take on a challenge both physically and in acting. I had to compose and act in the stream myself, and that was a memorable experience,” Thanh Son said.

According to Thanh Son, the really challenging scenes for him in the film are the interrogation scenes. “These are scenes with many close-ups, exploiting many gestures, expressions, and attitudes, even the smallest ones, on the face. That’s why I need to prepare very carefully for how to act with my eyes so that it is not monotonous and always diverse in acting. With each object, each different character, I will have different responses and attitudes. With “Brain Battle”, Son had to practice a lot in front of the mirror” - Thanh Son confided.
