With the responsible efforts of cadres and civil servants, in 2014, Nghe An Inspectorate advised administrative agencies in the province to receive 5,585 citizens; received and handled 7,306 petitions of all kinds; advised competent authorities to resolve 347 complaints and denunciations, reaching 96.1%. In addition, the sector also conducted 186 socio-economic inspections at 686 units; through inspections, economic violations with a total value of 42.1 billion VND were discovered (of which: 19.9 billion VND was recommended to be recovered, 22.1 billion VND was handled otherwise), 15.6 billion VND was recovered. At the same time, 1,160 specialized inspections and checks were conducted at 13,575 organizations and individuals, detecting violations, with a total amount of 71.1 billion VND to be handled (of which: 33.6 billion VND was recommended for recovery, 23.3 billion VND was administratively sanctioned, 4.5 billion VND was handled for violating assets), 32.1 billion/33.6 billion VND was recovered. 100 inspections were conducted on the responsibilities of heads at all levels and sectors in law enforcement in conjunction with inspections of the performance of public duties and tasks of officials and civil servants at 151 units to promptly detect violations and shortcomings and recommend handling and correction. Proposing the Provincial People's Committee to promulgate, amend and supplement mechanisms and policies in management, direction and operation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management.

But the above figures show the "huge" amount of work that the Inspection sector undertakes and completes. In addition, the sector has also strengthened the connection of anti-corruption tasks with inspection work, handling complaints and denunciations through many specific measures, such as: actively advising competent authorities to develop plans to effectively implement preventive solutions; strengthening inspection of the responsibilities of heads at all levels and sectors in law enforcement in conjunction with inspection of the performance of public duties and tasks of cadres and civil servants. Paying attention to checking, urging, and directing the implementation of inspection conclusions and handling decisions that have come into legal effect; continuing to urge the recovery of discovered budget losses. In 2014, the Provincial Inspectorate alone urged the recovery of nearly 1.3 billion VND to the state budget from decisions and conclusions of inspections, complaints and denunciations that have legal effect, especially decisions and conclusions since Directive 15 CT/TU dated May 15, 2008 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening post-inspection and examination handling.

In addition to the achievements in professional work, in 2014, we continued to promote the tradition of solidarity, overcoming difficulties to achieve outstanding results in patriotic emulation movements demonstrated in all areas of work. The most prominent were in the work of building forces, training, fostering and developing the team of cadres and civil servants; actively reforming administration, implementing grassroots democracy regulations... From there, we continued to build a strong provincial Inspectorate in many aspects, improving quality; contributing to limiting the occurrence and resolving complaints and denunciations, preventing, stopping and detecting, promptly handling cases, violations, negativity, corruption, waste, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management at all levels and sectors. These results have contributed to stabilizing the political security situation, social order and safety in the province; recognized and highly appreciated by the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, agencies, units, organizations in the province and the Government Inspectorate.

Along with the growth and development of the Vietnamese Inspectorate, the Nghe An Inspectorate has been affirming its long tradition with outstanding achievements and important contributions to the process of building and developing the province. The whole industry has 39 Inspectorate organizations with 286 cadres, civil servants and inspectors, of which 97% have university degrees or higher; many comrades have been trained and fostered with post-graduate degrees, second university degrees, advanced political and administrative theory, state management knowledge and other knowledge to meet the requirements of assigned tasks. In recent years, the Nghe An Provincial Inspectorate has been awarded many noble awards by the Party and the State: Title "Hero of Labor in the Renewal Period"; Independence Medals, Second and Third Class; The First, Second, Third Class Labor Medals, 9 Excellent Emulation Flags of the Government and many Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit of the Government Inspectorate and the Provincial People's Committee for outstanding achievements in various fields of work. In 2013, Nghe An Provincial Inspectorate continued to be honored to receive the Excellent Flag of the Government for leading the emulation movement.

To continue promoting the achievements, in the coming time, the Nghe An Inspectorate will identify key tasks, continue to advise and direct the effective implementation of legal provisions on inspection, citizen reception and settlement of complaints and denunciations, and prevention and fight against corruption; advise on the effective implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/T.Ư dated May 26, 2014 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in citizen reception and settlement of complaints and denunciations; Resolution No. 39/2012/QH13 dated November 23, 2012 of the National Assembly on continuing to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing policies and laws in citizen reception, settlement of complaints and denunciations regarding administrative decisions on land; Directive No. 14/CT-TTg dated May 18, 2012 of the Prime Minister on rectifying and improving the effectiveness of citizen reception, settlement of complaints and denunciations; Directives of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Directive 21-CT/TU dated September 3, 2014 on strengthening leadership and direction of internal affairs to better serve Party Congresses at all levels for the 2015-2020 term; Directive 22-CT/TU dated September 9, 2014 on strengthening the Party's leadership and direction in corruption prevention and control work and Directive 23-CT/TU dated September 9, 2014 on strengthening the Party's leadership in citizen reception and complaint and denunciation settlement; Plans of the Provincial People's Committee: Plan to implement the Law on Citizen Reception (issued with Decision No. 3571/QD-UBND dated July 30, 2014); Plan No. 531/KH-UBND dated October 10, 2013 on inspection, review, and consultation on the final settlement of outstanding, complicated, and prolonged cases; Plan No. 531/KH-UBND dated October 7, 2014 on the implementation of the Provincial Party Standing Committee's Directives on internal affairs, handling of complaints and denunciations, and preventing and combating corruption; Plans for implementing the National Strategy on preventing and combating corruption; Decision No. 1140/QD-UBND dated March 27, 2014 on the implementation of the "Project to continue strengthening the dissemination and education of laws on complaints and denunciations at communes, wards, and towns in the period of 2013-2016 in Nghe An province".

With the requirements of the assigned tasks, each cadre and inspector in the industry must continue to improve their professional qualifications, strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, cultivate morality, solidarity, and unanimity in action, and strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks. Meeting the assigned tasks is to contribute to stabilizing the political security situation and social order and safety in the province, together with the Party Committee and people of the province to focus on socio-economic development, completing the targets set by the Provincial Party Congress; continue to affirm the belief, be more worthy of the title "Hero of Labor", and be the leading flag in the patriotic emulation movement in the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho.
