Removing difficulties in constructing the grade-separated intersection of National Highway I with National Highway 48B - Lach Quen

(Baonghean.vn) - Project to build a grade-separated intersection between National Highway 1 and National Highway 48B and the section of National Highway 48B connecting from the intersection to Lach Quen port under the National Highway 1 expansion project, section Km 368+400 (Nghi Son-Thanh Hoa province) - Km 402+330 (Cau Giat - Nghe An) under the BOT form is being resolved by the investor and contractors to speed up progress.

Investment project to supplement the construction of a grade-separated intersection between National Highway 1 and National Highway 48B and the section of National Highway 48B connecting from the intersection to Lach Quen port under the National Highway 1 expansion project, section Km 368+400 (Nghi Son) - Km 402+330 (Cau Giat)with a total investment of 371.11 billion VND, the total route length is about 12.4km

To speed up the construction progress, the investor has directed the contractor to proactively work with households to rent construction sites. Currently, the contractor has finished renting the sites of Binh Son I and Binh Son II bridges, the section from Km8+700 to Km9+300 has been counted and is preparing to pay for the construction site. The contractor mobilizes machinery and equipment to implement the above sections before March 5, 2016...

Up to now, the work of placing GPMB stakes and road boundary markers at the project has been completed and handed over to the GPMB Council of Quynh Luu district. Mr. Le Minh Dung - Deputy Director of the Project Management Board said: Company 319 constructed the road section from Km0+00 to Km 8+637.5; Cienco 4 constructed the road from Km8+637.5 to Km12+500, the turnoff road to Cau Giat station in Cau Giat town, Binh Son 1 bridge, Binh Son 2 bridge, Cau Giat intersection overpass.

The difficulty in the current construction process is that public works such as power lines, water lines, and telecommunication cable systems have not been relocated. Therefore, the construction unit has proactively coordinated with the management units of Viettel Cable, Quynh Luu telecommunication cable, Cable TV... which have underground and above-ground works within the construction area to be relocated.

Overpass location: Km11+526.66 on National Highway 48 intersecting with National Highway 1 at Km404+309 in Cau Giat townaffecting 210 households, of which 4 households must be resettled. Currently, local authorities and relevant agencies are focusing on completing steps to speed up site clearance and handover to the construction unit.
