Coach Park advised Tien Dung's parents not to go to China to cheer for U23.
Worried that his students would be psychologically shaken, coach Park Hang Seo advised relatives not to go to China to cheer for the final.
On the afternoon of January 24, Mr. Bui Van Khanh - goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung's father - said that he and his wife had just completed the procedures to travel to China, but at the last minute decided to postpone the trip.
"We were scheduled to fly to China from Noi Bai tomorrow, but at the last minute, the family changed the plan. We will not go to China even though we received an invitation and incentives," said Ms. Pham Thi Dieu (Tien Dung's mother).

According to Ms. Dieu, the coaching staff and coach Park Hang Seo are concerned that if the players’ relatives come to cheer them on, it could cause psychological disturbances and affect their competitive spirit. Therefore, the coach advised them not to attend.
“Although we really want to stand by our son’s side during this historic moment, we think it is reasonable advice, so my husband and I will cheer for Tien Dung and Tien Dung at home, waiting for the day our son returns,” said Mrs. Dieu.
Mrs. Dieu said she was still in a good mood. “The dream of winning the gold cup is closer than ever for the boys in red,” the mother said, expressing her great faith in a good result for the U23 Vietnam players in the final match.
Mrs. Dieu and Mr. Khanh's family plan to slaughter a cow on the final day to invite the whole village to eat and drink together, cheering from afar for Tien Dung and his teammates.
In the U23 Vietnam team, goalkeeper Tien Dung and midfielder Tien Dung are two brothers. Since the beginning of the tournament, only Tien Dung has been in the starting lineup. He has had many brilliant moments, contributing to the historic victories of the U23 Vietnam team.
Ms. Le Thi Cuc - Quang Hai's mother - said that she also received an offer of a free flight from an airline. However, Quang Hai called from China to say that the coaching staff was concerned that the presence of his family would affect the players' mentality.

"Instructing his parents to stay home and take care of their health, Hai promised that he and the whole team would try their best to repay the love and trust of his family and fans," Ms. Cuc recounted. Although he really wanted to go cheer for his son, Quang Hai's parents decided to stay home and welcome the fans.
"If we go, who will welcome the fans who come to our house to cheer for Quang Hai and the team?", Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan (Quang Hai's father) explained.
