Coach Park returns to UAE with U23 Vietnam towards the 2022 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (October 14), the Vietnamese team will return to Hanoi after losing 1-3 to host Oman in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. However, coach Park Hang-seo will not return with the team but will fly to the UAE to lead the U22 Vietnam team, who are training there.
Head coach Park Hang-seo and three players, including goalkeeper Van Toan, defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh and midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh, will take a flight from Oman to the UAE to join the U23 Vietnam team.
Previously, two players on the list of the Vietnam National Team participating in the third qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, defender Nguyen Thanh Binh and Le Van Xuan, were also transferred to the Vietnam U23 team after the match against the Chinese National Team on October 7. Due to being regularly rotated between the Vietnam National Team and the Vietnam U23 Team, this pair of players quickly adapted to the new routine.

Evening of October 13,Vietnam U23 Teamhas entered the 6th day of training in the UAE to prepare for the 2022 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers. The team's training session took place at the Nas Sports Complex - a famous location often chosen by clubs and the world's top football and sports stars when coming to the UAE for training or touring.
After the 1-1 draw in the international friendly match with Tajikistan U23 team, Vietnam U23 team will have another international friendly match with Kyrgyzstan U23 team on October 17. This match is also considered a rehearsal for Vietnam U23 team before finalizing the list of 23 players to go to Kyrgyzstan to compete in Group I - 2022 AFC U23 Championship Qualifiers.
The Vietnam U22 team will fly to Kyrgyzstan on October 21 to enter the race in Group I of the 2022 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers. According to the match schedule, the teamCoach Park Hang-seowill meet Taiwan (October 27) and Myanmar (November 2) respectively with the goal of winning tickets to the final round.

After finishing the 2022 U23 Asian qualifiers, Mr. Park will return to Hanoi with the U22 team on November 3 to prepare for two home matches against Japan (November 11) and Saudi Arabia (November 16) in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.
According to regulations, members of the national team are exempt from quarantine and operate in a closed "bubble" at the Grand Plaza Hotel, the VFF Youth Football Training Center and My Dinh Stadium. Therefore, upon returning to Vietnam, Mr. Park will immediately participate in normal training for the Vietnamese team.
Previously, the Vietnamese team was expected to gather again on October 25 under the guidance of assistant Lee Young Jin.
