Coach Park Hang Seo and his team surrender to… God

Despite trying every way to overcome the weather "rival" in Shanghai - China, the U23 Vietnam team finally had to "surrender" during the training session on the afternoon of January 3.

Accordingly, in the very cold weather accompanied by rain and wind, U23 Vietnam was allowed by Coach Park Hang Seo to skip the afternoon practice session on January 3 to stay at the hotel. This was a very correct decision by the Korean coach, because going to the field to practice in such weather conditions would certainly greatly affect the health of the whole team.

The Korean coach determined that this is the pre-competition period, so health issues will be the number 1 priority. Because if we do not calculate and maintain good health for the players, all the training efforts will become meaningless.

The cold weather in China affects the U23 Vietnam team.

This morning, U23 Vietnam could only warm up and play matches within a narrow area of 2/3 of the field. However, the training session only lasted 40 minutes. Coach Park Hang-seo proactively adjusted the lesson plan, letting his players return to their rooms to rest earlier than expected to ensure their health.

Although the weather is not favorable, U23 Vietnam is trying to adapt to the weather conditions in China to maintain their physical strength. In addition, each individual is trying to reach their best form before entering the first match against U23 Korea in the final round of U23 Asia 2018 (January 11, 2017).

At 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (January 4) local time (2:00 p.m. Vietnam time), U23 Vietnam will have a friendly match with the U23 Palestine team, who are also training in Shanghai to prepare for the 2018 U23 Asian Cup finals.

Due to the importance of the match, both the U23 Vietnam and U23 Palestine coaching staff requested to close the stadium and only reserve a few minutes before the match for the press to record and work.

The 2018 AFC U23 Championship will take place from January 9 to 27 in four Chinese cities: Changzhou, Kunshan, Jiangyin and Changshu. The teams will compete in a round robin within the group to select the two teams with the best results to advance to the quarter-finals.

According to the match schedule, U23 Vietnam is in group D, facing U23 Korea (January 11), U23 Australia (January 14) and U23 Syria (January 17).
