Two more field hospitals in Nghe An temporarily suspend operations
(Baonghean.vn) - Thus, Nghe An currently has only one field hospital still in operation.
On the afternoon of September 28, Mr. Dang Ngoc Ha - Director of Nghe An Field Hospital No. 2 said that starting tomorrow (September 29), this hospital will temporarily stop operating, due to being free of Covid-19. Currently, medical staff have left, are quarantined, and are waiting for the day to return to normal work.
Field Hospital No. 2 was requisitioned from Nghia Dan Medical Center and put into operation on August 14 with a capacity of 150 beds. After nearly a month and a half, the hospital has treated 336 Covid-19 patients.

Meanwhile, in Cua Lo town, Dr. Thai Dinh Lam - Deputy Director of Field Hospital No. 5 said that this hospital has temporarily stopped operating since September 28. Some patients who have not been discharged have been transferred to Field Hospital No. 3 nearby. Put into operation since August 30, Field Hospital No. 5 has so far cured 256 Covid-19 patients.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Nghe An has recorded 1,823 Covid-19 patients. Nghe An province has had to establish 6 field hospitals, of which field hospital No. 6 did not need to be activated after its establishment due to the gradual decrease in the number of recorded patients. To date, the whole province has only 55 patients being treated, of which more than 20 patients are at Field Hospital No. 3, the rest are more seriously ill and are being treated at the Tropical Disease Center - Nghe An General Hospital. To date, Nghe An has recorded 17 deaths from Covid-19, all of whom died in hospital.
