2 more cases related to the outbreak in Me Linh
Cases 259 and 260 in Vietnam were both infected in the community and reside in Me Linh district, Hanoi. The country currently has 260 cases of Covid-19 infection, 144 of which have recovered.
CASE 259 (BN259):Female patient, 41 years old, Vietnamese nationality, address in Bang hamlet, Ha Loi village, Me Linh commune, Me Linh district, Hanoi. The patient is the wife of patient 254, living in the center of the epidemic area in Ha Loi village, Me Linh commune. The patient is a farmer (growing flowers) and does business at home; occasionally delivering flowers to Lieu Tri village, Me Linh commune and some other places when there are orders. The patient also regularly buys goods at patient 250's house (last purchase date is March 25). From April 3 to 6, the patient went to other hamlets and villages including Chua hamlet, Ao Sen hamlet, Lieu Tri hamlet to deliver flowers and buy things, having contact with many people. The patient last had contact with her husband patient 254 on April 8, before patient 254 went to dialysis at Hanoi Kidney Hospital. After the patient's husband (Patient 254) tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 (April 9), the patient was a close contact (F1) so the first sample was taken by Me Linh Medical Center and transferred to quarantine in Thach That on April 10, 2020. On April 11, 2020, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 by the Hanoi Center for Disease Control.

CASE 260 (BN260):Female patient, 35 years old, Vietnamese nationality, address in Duong hamlet, Ha Loi village, Me Linh commune, Me Linh district, Hanoi. The patient is a farmer (growing flowers) in Duong hamlet, Ha Loi village, Me Linh. The patient has not gone far in the past 2 weeks. Every day, she usually goes to the market, then goes to the field to take care of the flowers, then returns home. The patient has a habit of buying meat at Bay Huan's house (in Duong hamlet), which is also where patient 259 often goes to buy meat. On April 6, the patient had close contact with 2 F1 people of patient 243 when delivering flowers. On April 10, 2020, the patient was sampled by the Hanoi Center for Disease Control for screening tests for people living in the isolated area of Ha Loi village. The test result on April 11, 2020 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently being isolated and treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, branch 2.
