20 more illegal immigrants were discovered and taken to centralized quarantine.
(Baonghean.vn) - For the act of illegal entry through border trails, these 20 subjects, after being quarantined, will be handled according to the provisions of the law - the Provincial Border Guard Command said.
According to the Provincial Border Guard Command, in recent days, 20 more subjects from Laos illegally entering the country through border trails were discovered and taken to centralized quarantine. Of which, in Keng Du commune (Ky Son), 16 subjects were discovered and taken to quarantine; in Thong Thu commune (Que Phong), 4 subjects were discovered and taken to quarantine.
“The Border Guard Stations have completed their records on these subjects. After the quarantine period ends, they will be handled according to the law,” a representative of the Provincial Border Guard Command confirmed.

The Provincial Border Guard Command also informed that currently, on the Vietnam - Laos border through Nghe An with a length of 468.281 km, 66 fixed checkpoints have been established at the trails with the participation of 520 officers and soldiers (of which 294 are from the border guard force; 226 are from the police, militia and local medical staff).
The 24/7 checkpoints are ready to detect and handle violators according to regulations. In addition, the units of Nghe An Border Guard have increased 60 working groups/200 officers and soldiers to stick to residential areas and patrol and control the area.

Previously, Nghe An Newspaper reported that on March 22, 2020, Thong Thu Border Guard Station and local forces discovered and quarantined 3 subjects returning from Laos through the border trail; on March 23, 2020, Nhon Mai Border Guard Station and local forces discovered and quarantined 7 subjects returning from Laos through the Huoi Co village trail.
Thus, up to now, the border checkpoint forces of the province have detected and quarantined all 30 illegal entrants.
