More localities in Nghe An are lifted from lockdown

(Baonghean.vn) - These localities were lifted from lockdown and stopped social distancing after 14 days without recording any new cases.

On the morning of July 10, the checkpoints at the entrances and exits of four villages in Nghi Dien Commune (Nghi Loc) were removed after 14 days of establishment. This move took place after the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to stop social distancing according to Directive 16 for four villages: Yen Thinh, Phuong Son, Toan Thang and Quang Trung of Nghi Dien Commune. The decision took effect from 0:00 on July 10.

In addition, the remaining villages of this commune are also allowed to stop social distancing according to Directive 15.

Previously, on the morning of June 25, Nghi Loc recorded its first case of Covid-19 infection. The patient is a 50-year-old woman residing in Phuong Son village, Nghi Dien commune. This person is a trader, selling at Vinh wholesale market. After testing the F1s, the patient's husband was also confirmed to be infected with Covid-19. Immediately after that, the Provincial People's Committee decided to socially isolate 4 villages near the patient's house. Up to now, the health agency has taken samples of hundreds of people related to these two patients for testing, the results showed that all were negative for Covid-19.

In Quynh Luu, village 4, Quynh Lam commune, medical isolation was also stopped, the remaining villages in this commune were stopped from implementing social isolation according to Directive 16 from 0:00 on July 10. Previously, on June 26, this commune was isolated after a couple was infected after traveling on the same bus with a Covid-19 patient from Hai Phong.

In Quy Hop district, the Provincial People's Committee has also issued a decision to stop implementing social distancing according to Directive 15 for Lien Xuan and Thanh Xuan hamlets, Nghia Xuan commune, and Minh Tam hamlet, Minh Hop commune. These are all locations related to the family of 5 people infected with Covid-19 residing in Nghia Xuan commune.

Previously, on June 11, the couple went to Bac Giang to buy fabric to sell in Da Nang. While buying fabric in Bac Giang, he had contact with a Covid-19 patient.
On June 15, the couple returned to their hometown in Nghia Xuan. After learning that someone they had been in contact with in Bac Giang had contracted Covid-19, the husband went to make a medical declaration and tested positive. On June 25, the patient’s wife and three children were confirmed to have Covid-19.
Immediately, locations related to the patients were locked down and socially isolated according to Directive 16. Some remaining hamlets with lower risk were socially isolated according to Directive 15.

To date, the province has had 130 positive cases of Covid-19 in 10 localities, specifically: Vinh City: 88, Dien Chau: 18, Tan Ky: 1, Quy Hop: 5, Nam Dan: 5, Do Luong: 1, Hoang Mai: 2, Nghia Dan: 1, Nghi Loc: 4, Quynh Luu: 5. In addition, there are 7 cases returning from other provinces who tested positive again; 10 people have recovered; 1 case died.
