Türkiye may be close to finalizing its purchase of Russia's S-400
According to THX, on December 14, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the country could complete the purchase of Russia's S-400 missile defense system this week.

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Maltese counterpart Carmelo Abela in Ankara, Mr Cavusoglu said: "There is no problem with the S-400 deal. It can be signed this week." Mr Cavusoglu also revealed that technical experts from both Russia and Türkiye are currently working on the installation of the system, amid preparations for the signing of the official agreement.
On December 10, after meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said officials from both sides would meet this week to finalize the deal.
For his part, Mr. Putin also expressed that Russia hopes to sign many agreements in the defense industry with Türkiye in the near future./
