In modern society, we cannot deny that with the development of social networks, many dishonest and shady behaviors have gradually taken over the "forum". One of them is the "fake" behavior - the act of impersonation and pretense to impress the community. In particular, this behavior has gradually gone too far, not only violating ethical standards but also violating the law.
Ugly behavior
The act of "faking" can be understood as the act of falsifying and deceiving to create a positive impression of oneself to others, often expressed through bragging and "pretending" on social media platforms. A typical example is the falsification of donation amounts in charity campaigns. Many people are willing to use image editing tools to fake the amount of money they have donated, creating a deception of generosity.

This not only reflects dishonesty, but also has serious consequences. It creates distrust in the community, causing a loss of trust in volunteer activities and charitable organizations. When generosity becomes a tool for "posters" to build an image, the true value of the relief efforts is significantly reduced. This is a serious ethical problem, because charitable support should come from sincerity and responsibility, not as a performance to impress.
Manifestation of poor morality and low culture
Morally, “cheating” is a disrespectful act towards the community and the person who commits it. This deceit and dishonesty reflects a disregard for the core values of society, especially in the context of natural disasters and hardships.
As in the case mentioned above, many people take advantage of the country's difficult situation, natural disasters, storms and floods to create fake images of their contributions. This is a condemnable behavior, because instead of really helping, they are just trying to "show off" to "shine".

Those who are truly in need of help in natural disasters and floods are the ones who need help, and every contribution is important. However, when the behavior of "bannering" becomes popular, it not only destroys the community's trust in charitable organizations, but also reduces the value of truly worthy actions. "Bannering" people lose the spirit of sharing and sincerity, causing the community to gradually become skeptical and worried about charitable activities.

...when "banner" behavior becomes common, it not only destroys the community's trust in charitable organizations, but also devalues truly worthy actions.
Illegal behavior
The act of "fraud" is not only a violation of ethics, but in many cases, it goes further and violates the law. Forgery or abuse of trust to appropriate property in charitable activities can be handled under the Vietnamese Penal Code. According to Article 175 of the 2015 Penal Code, revised in 2017, anyone who abuses trust to appropriate property will face severe penalties.
For example, if an individual is authorized or entrusted with the management of a charitable sum and then abuses that trust to misappropriate or misuse it, they can be criminally prosecuted with prison terms ranging from 6 months to 20 years, depending on the value of the misappropriated property.

In addition, according to Article 15 of Decree 144/2021/ND-CP, the act of using fraudulent means to appropriate assets donated for charitable activities may be subject to administrative penalties if the amount appropriated is less than VND 2 million and has not reached the level of criminal prosecution. However, this does not mean that the act of "bannering" is not harmful. Although the administrative fine may only be from VND 2 million to VND 3 million, it still has a negative impact on the reputation of charitable activities and the trust of the community.
Negative consequences for society
The habit of "fake news" not only affects the individual who commits the act but also causes serious consequences for the whole society. When lies and pretense become common, the community's trust in charity and relief activities is damaged. This leads to people being more hesitant to contribute to charitable organizations, reducing the effectiveness of charitable activities.

In addition, genuine, sincere charitable individuals and organizations may face increased suspicion and scrutiny from the public and authorities. This can create unnecessary pressure and hinder effective efforts to help those in need.
Strong measures are needed.
To prevent and reduce "banner" behavior, strong measures are needed from both the law and the community. The law needs to strengthen supervision and strictly handle acts of forgery and appropriation of assets under the guise of charity. At the same time, the community also needs to raise awareness of the importance of honesty and transparency in charitable activities.
Only when individuals and organizations demonstrate honesty and responsibility can we build a trustworthy society and effectively achieve charitable goals. The habit of "showing off" may bring individuals short-term glamour, but in the long run, it only makes them lose their reputation and true value in the eyes of the community.

The habit of "posting" not only violates ethical standards but also violates the law, causing many serious consequences for society. To build a good community, we need to eliminate this behavior by raising awareness and compliance with the law, while always respecting the value of honesty and sincerity in all activities.
