Weather today April 17: Tropical depression appears in the East Sea

The Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting saidtoday (April 17)A tropical depression appeared in the sea west of the central Philippines.

Specifically, at 1 a.m., the center of the tropical depression was at about 12.5 degrees North latitude; 120.3 degrees East longitude. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6 (40-50km/hour), gusting to level 7-8. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move northwest, traveling about 15-20km per hour. Due to the influence of the tropical depression circulation, the sea area east of the central East Sea will have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting also warned of the risk of tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind in the North.

Northwest:Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature from 20 - 23 degrees, some places below 20 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature from 27 - 30 degrees Celsius.

NortheastScattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind. Temperatures range from 21 to 29 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien HueNo rain at night, sunny during the day, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening. There is a possibility of tornadoes, whirlwinds and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. Temperature from 22 to 33 degrees, in the western mountainous areas some places are over 34 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang to Binh ThuanNo rain at night, sunny during the day. East wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature from 23 - 26 degrees Celsius, highest from 31 to 34 degrees, some places above 34 degrees Celsius.

Central HighlandsIn the evening and at night there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day. Temperature from 19 to 35 degrees Celsius

Southern VietnamIn the late afternoon and at night there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day, and some places in the East will be hot. The lowest temperature will be from 24 to 27 degrees Celsius, and the highest will be from 33 to 36 degrees Celsius.

HanoiForecast cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are likely to have tornadoes and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature: 22 - 25 degrees Celsius, highest from 26 to 29 degrees Celsius.
