In 2013, Mr. Giang decided to invest in Egyptian chicken breed, with a cost of 17,000 VND/chicken. After a year of testing, the Egyptian chicken breed grew well, had a high and stable price, and was favored by the market, so he decided to expand this breed. In his family farm, Mr. Giang raised more than 1,000 Egyptian guinea fowl for breeding. After nearly 5 months of raising, the flock of chickens provided the family with daily egg harvests.

According to Mr. Giang, the Egyptian chicken breed has many advantages. This is an animal with good resistance, few diseases, and a higher selling price than other chicken breeds. The amount of feed for this chicken breed is less than that of other chicken breeds, so it saves costs in raising. The chicken has an egg-laying capacity of about 200-210 eggs.

Egyptian chickens are a breed of chicken that is docile and easy to raise, so they can be raised in many ways, such as in concentrated confinement or semi-free-range farming. Egyptian chickens not only produce eggs but also have firm and delicious meat.

With more than 1,000 hens, he harvests about 600 eggs per day. The current market price is 2,800 VND/egg, earning more than 1.6 million VND/day. After 1 year of harvesting eggs, the egg-laying productivity of Egyptian chickens has decreased.

Mr. Giang said that if you want Egyptian chickens to have high productivity, you must follow the correct breeding techniques in terms of barn construction, food, and full vaccination. The barn must be located in a high, dry place, ensuring it is warm in winter and cool in summer. The floor of the barn is made of concrete, and the bedding is made of rice husks that have been sprinkled with lime and sprayed with disinfectants and sterilization. The main food is synthetic bran, which can be mixed with cereal starch and green vegetables.
